This role involves providing comprehensive support to cardiologists in managing both inpatient and outpatient care. The candidate will be responsible for adhering strictly to medical protocols and instructions, ensuring effective communication with patients throughout their treatment journey. Accurate documentation and maintenance of records related to cardiac procedures such as surgeries, angiographies, and echocardiograms are essential. The position also requires assisting in medical outpatient departments by inputting data into relevant systems and performing diagnostic tests like ECG and ETT when necessary. Attention to detail and compliance with established policies and standard operating procedures are critical to delivering high-quality cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist cardiologists in the care and treatment of both indoor and outdoor cardiac patients.
- Follow protocols and instructions provided by the cardiologist, maintaining vigilant communication with patients regarding their treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cardiac procedures including surgeries, angiographies, echocardiograms, and other cardiology-related interventions.
- Adhere to policies and standard operating procedures when managing cardiac patients and support medical outpatient departments by entering data into Medix or similar systems.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as ECG and ETT in the absence of other staff members.
- Ensure all record registers are accurately completed with the required entries and kept up to date.
- Undertake any additional tasks or duties as assigned to support the cardiology team.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a cardiac care setting.
- Certification as an Echo Technician or Cardiac Technician is mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in person at the designated work location.
