This position involves providing comprehensive assistance to cardiologists in managing both indoor and outdoor patients. The role requires strict adherence to established protocols and instructions from the cardiologist while maintaining effective communication with patients throughout their treatment process. Accurate documentation and record-keeping of cardiac procedures such as surgeries, angiographies, and echocardiograms are essential. The candidate will also support medical outpatient departments by inputting data into Medix systems and may be required to perform ECG, ETT, and other related tasks during staff absences. Attention to detail and compliance with hospital policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) when handling cardiac patients are critical components of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist cardiologists in the care and treatment of both indoor and outdoor cardiac patients.
- Follow cardiologist instructions and protocols diligently, ensuring patient liaison is handled with care and professionalism.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of cardiac procedures including surgeries, angiographies, and echocardiograms.
- Adhere to hospital policies and SOPs when managing cardiac patients and assist in medical outpatient departments by entering data into Medix systems.
- Perform ECG, ETT, and other diagnostic tests as needed, particularly in the absence of other staff members.
- Ensure all record registers are accurately updated and completed with the required information.
- Undertake any additional duties or tasks as assigned by the cardiology department.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a cardiac care setting.
- Certification as an Echo Technician or Cardiac Technician is mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in person at the designated work location.
