We are looking for a skilled Mid to Senior-Level EDI Analyst to join our data services team. This role is vital as a technical expert and acts as a bridge between clients, internal systems, and external insurance carriers. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end electronic data transmissions, troubleshoot complex file discrepancies, and perform detailed data validation within our core Professional Employer Organization (PEO) platform. A strong background in the PEO or HR outsourcing space, along with expertise in EDI 834 (Enrollment) and EDI 820 (Premium Payment) transactions, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- PEO System Data Validation: Conduct thorough data audits and integrity checks within internal PEO platforms, including HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems. Ensure employee setup records, deduction configurations, and benefit enrollments align precisely with source documentation before and after file transmissions.
- Customer Communication & Support: Act as the primary technical liaison for clients and insurance carriers regarding data integrations. Translate complex EDI technical data into clear, actionable information for non-technical stakeholders.
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Monitor data transmission pipelines on a daily, weekly, and seasonal basis. Identify, diagnose, and resolve file errors, syntax rejections, and schema mismatches, including handling technical alerts such as 999 or TA1.
- Data Auditing & Compliance: Perform detailed reconciliation audits across enrollment records, deduction changes, and outbound carrier rosters. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, PHI security standards, and ACA reporting requirements.
- Carrier Onboarding & Testing (Senior Capability): Lead data-mapping sessions and collaborate with external health, dental, vision, and financial carrier technical teams to develop, test, and implement standardized data structures for new employer group onboarding.
- Open Enrollment Execution: Work closely with internal benefits configuration teams to manage high-volume Open Enrollment file updates, ensuring smooth handling of complex date parameters and coverage migrations.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the PEO, ASO, or Enterprise HR technology sectors as a data or EDI professional.
- Deep functional knowledge of PEO/HRIS architecture, payroll lifecycle processing, benefit deductions, and open enrollment cycles.
- Expert understanding of ASC X12 EDI standards, particularly EDI 834 (Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance) and EDI 820 (Payment Order/Remittance Advice) transaction sets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret raw file structures (e.g., text files, data dumps) and perform system validations. Proficiency in SQL querying or advanced data mapping logic is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive technical escalations and foster trusted relationships with corporate HR teams.
- Experience working with secure data transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and AS2, along with automated script scheduling.
- Prior involvement in implementing custom benefit calculations, cross-carrier tier mapping, or managing complex state-specific insurance reporting rules.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and client interaction are equally valued. The role demands a detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex data ecosystems while maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional client support.
