Our client is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking EdTech & AI Manager to lead the integration of artificial intelligence, educational technology, and digital innovation within their institution in Karachi. This role goes beyond traditional IT functions, operating at the intersection of education, AI, technology, and institutional transformation. The successful candidate will identify opportunities to enhance teaching, learning, assessment, teacher productivity, and school operations through technology. Additionally, they will design and implement a structured EdTech, AI, and Future Skills curriculum aimed at preparing students for a technology-driven future. The ultimate goal is to transform the institution into a more innovative, technology-enabled, and future-ready educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

- AI & Digital Transformation: Develop and execute an organization-wide AI and EdTech Transformation Roadmap. Review current academic and administrative systems to identify areas for improvement, simplification, or automation. Introduce practical AI solutions to enhance efficiency and decision-making. Lead pilot projects and present recommendations to senior management, establishing measurable outcomes for digital initiatives.

- Teaching & Learning Transformation: Collaborate with academic leadership to integrate AI and technology meaningfully into teaching and learning. Support teachers in using AI for lesson planning, differentiation, assessment, and feedback. Introduce digital tools that foster personalized learning and innovative classroom experiences while ensuring technology complements effective teaching practices.

- EdTech, AI & Future Skills Curriculum: Design, develop, and continuously improve an original curriculum covering digital literacy, AI fundamentals, generative AI, computational thinking, coding, robotics, data literacy, virtual/augmented reality, AI ethics, digital citizenship, cyber safety, and more. The curriculum should emphasize project-based learning, enabling students to solve real-world problems using technology.

- Student Innovation & Technology Culture: Create opportunities for students to apply technological knowledge through AI challenges, hackathons, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary projects. Identify talented students for advanced learning and external competitions. Foster partnerships with universities, tech companies, and startups to position the school as a leader in AI literacy and innovation.

- Teacher AI Enablement & Professional Development: Develop structured AI and EdTech training programs for teachers, including workshops on responsible generative AI use. Train selected teachers as EdTech/AI Champions and implement a train-the-trainer model to support multiple campuses. Monitor adoption and provide ongoing support.

- Automation & Institutional Efficiency: Identify AI and automation opportunities to reduce repetitive administrative tasks across admissions, communication, reporting, assessments, HR, scheduling, and more. Aim to improve accuracy, speed, and institutional intelligence while minimizing manual work.

- EdTech Evaluation & Implementation: Assess learning management systems, AI platforms, and educational tools with cost-benefit analyses. Coordinate technology implementation with academic and IT teams, ensuring procurement aligns with genuine needs. Monitor usage and impact, and rationalize existing platforms.

- AI Governance, Safety & Academic Integrity: Develop institutional AI usage policies for students and staff, addressing plagiarism, academic integrity, privacy, and ethical AI use. Educate stakeholders on AI limitations, misinformation, and bias. Update policies as technologies evolve.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Education, Digital Learning, Instructional Design, or related fields.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within educational environments.
- Strong understanding of generative AI and current educational technologies.
- Experience in curriculum development or technology-based learning modules.
- Proven ability to train teachers or non-technical professionals.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, AI platforms, automation tools, and digital productivity systems.
- Excellent project management, communication, presentation, and training skills.
- Ability to translate complex technologies into practical solutions for educators and students.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience implementing technology-driven transformation in educational institutions is highly desirable.
- The role offers a market-competitive salary with working hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday (alternate Saturdays off).
- This position is based onsite in Karachi.
