Educational Counselor

The Educational Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based at the UKEC Pakistan office in Gujranwala. The primary responsibility is to provide personalized counseling to prospective students interested in studying in Europe. This includes advising on suitable courses, universities, and pathway programs. The counselor will assist students throughout the application process by helping with documentation, managing timelines, and coordinating with internal teams and European partner institutions to ensure the delivery of accurate and current information. Daily duties involve conducting information sessions, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings, and maintaining detailed records using CRM or other systems. The counselor will also support pre-departure briefings, provide follow-up assistance, and participate in educational events such as fairs, workshops, and seminars.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one educational counseling focused on European study pathways and institutions.
- Guide students through application preparation, documentation, and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and partner institutions to ensure up-to-date and accurate information.
- Conduct information sessions and respond promptly to student inquiries through multiple communication channels.
- Maintain detailed records of student interactions and progress using CRM or relevant software.
- Assist with pre-departure briefings and offer ongoing support post-application.
- Represent UKEC at education fairs, workshops, and seminars to promote study opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to deliver effective educational consulting and guidance on European study options.
- Strong counseling skills with experience in one-to-one advisory sessions and comprehensive student support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with students, families, and partner organizations.
- Knowledge or interest in career counseling to help students align educational choices with career goals.
- Solid understanding of European higher education systems, admission criteria, and study pathways.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in digital tools, CRM systems, and office software for case tracking and communication.
- Commitment to a professional, inclusive, and student-centered counseling approach, adhering to ethical and non-discriminatory practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Prior experience in educational consulting, international student recruitment, or related roles is preferred but not mandatory.
