Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer - TJ / 1887496

Our client, Water Regime Pvt Ltd, is seeking a qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer based in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 7 years of experience, preferably within the water treatment sector. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical and instrumentation engineering, with responsibilities spanning site execution, troubleshooting, and project coordination. The engineer will play a key role in delivering sustainable engineering solutions while managing a small team and collaborating closely with various project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop instrumentation and electrical systems tailored for industrial and water treatment projects, ensuring all work complies with relevant technical standards. Program, configure, and maintain PLC systems, with particular emphasis on Mitsubishi and Siemens platforms, to optimize automation processes. Conduct calibration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems to ensure peak operational performance. Create control panel layouts and configure Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems to improve usability and safety on site. Utilize AutoCAD Electrical to produce detailed electrical drawings and documentation supporting project designs. Perform prompt troubleshooting and maintenance activities on-site to reduce downtime and maintain system efficiency. Lead and supervise a team of two engineers or technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring timely, high-quality project completion. Coordinate effectively with project teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth execution and alignment with project goals. Monitor project progress, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets. Apply industry best practices to develop sustainable engineering solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements. Support business development efforts by assisting with technical proposals and client communications as needed. Continuously update technical knowledge to stay abreast of advancements in electrical and instrumentation engineering technologies.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, BS Technology Engineering, or a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical is required. Candidates should have 3 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the water treatment industry. Proven expertise in instrumentation and electrical system design is essential. Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Mitsubishi and Siemens systems, is highly valued. Experience with SCADA systems, control panel layout design, calibration, and testing is necessary. Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills are required to manage projects independently from design through commissioning.
