- Assess existing electrical systems including power supply, distribution boards, transformers, cabling, earthing, protection systems, and available electrical capacity.
- Determine site capability to support required AC or DC charger capacity and identify any necessary electrical upgrades or additional infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed site assessment reports, electrical requirements, load calculations, and installation recommendations.
- Develop or review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable routes, protection requirements, and electrical layouts.
- Coordinate with electricians, installation contractors, civil contractors, and other technical teams during project preparation.

- Liaise with customers and site management to understand site requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
- Support procurement by specifying cables, breakers, protection devices, distribution equipment, conduits, accessories, and other materials.
- Conduct pre-installation checks and provide technical approval before installation begins.
- Assist with charger installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Document site conditions, including photographs, measurements, technical requirements, and project progress.
- Identify potential technical risks early in projects and recommend practical solutions.
- Provide technical support to the sales team regarding charger selection, power requirements, installation feasibility, and infrastructure costs.
- Manage the initial site assessment process, including site visit, electrical assessment, charger location selection, load and capacity assessment, cable and protection requirements, installation planning, cost/material estimation, installation coordination, and testing/commissioning.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical installations, infrastructure, construction, industrial projects, or EV charging preferred.
- Strong understanding of three-phase electrical systems, load calculations, distribution systems, protection devices, earthing, and cable sizing.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and installation practices.
- Experience conducting site surveys and coordinating with contractors is advantageous.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar electrical design tools preferred.
- Strong skills in Excel and documentation.
- Willingness to travel to customer and project sites.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and provide practical technical recommendations on-site.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience with EV charging infrastructure, including AC and DC chargers, commercial or industrial electrical installations, solar PV or energy systems, distribution boards and electrical panels, transformer and load assessment, electrical project management, construction/site supervision, and AutoCAD electrical drawings will be considered an advantage.

At GPS Energies, you will serve as the key technical liaison between customers, the company, and installation teams.
