Electrical Technician

Barkat Frisian is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team at the Port Qasim facility in Karachi. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment within an industrial environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical control systems and industrial machinery, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems, including MCC panels, control panels, motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and related devices.
- Diagnose electrical faults promptly and carry out timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial electrical installations.
- Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems and associated equipment.
- Collaborate closely with the mechanical maintenance team to coordinate electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuit schematics.
- Ensure all electrical equipment is operated and maintained in compliance with company safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Adhere strictly to all company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and electrical safety protocols.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical from a recognized technical institute.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of industrial experience in electrical maintenance.
- Practical knowledge and experience with electrical control systems and industrial equipment.
- Good understanding of HVAC systems and basic mechanical maintenance principles.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in industrial plants, manufacturing units, food processing, refrigeration, or similar sectors will be considered an advantage.
