Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems within building and data center environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining critical electrical infrastructure, including lighting, power distribution, and backup power systems. This role requires a proactive approach to routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety standards to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform building electrical maintenance tasks, including servicing lighting systems, distribution boards, cabling, and power outlets.
- Carry out electrical maintenance specific to data centers, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to critical equipment.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules to maintain system reliability.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and power panels.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical faults promptly to reduce operational disruptions.
- Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies at all times.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and incident reports to document all activities and issues.
- Coordinate effectively with utility suppliers and internal support teams during breakdowns, system upgrades, and planned shutdowns.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in building and data center electrical maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) systems, UPS, generators, rectifiers, and electrical safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams accurately.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix electrical issues efficiently.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic work conditions.

Experience

- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience working in facilities management or data center electrical maintenance roles.

Working Conditions

- This position requires shift-based work, including nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs as necessary to support continuous operations.

Compensation and Work Location

- The role offers a starting salary from Rs 45,000 per month.
- The position is based on-site and requires physical presence at the workplace.
