We are seeking a skilled Electronics Design & Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of electronic hardware development, including PCB design, embedded firmware programming, prototyping, testing, and system integration. This role requires hands-on experience with PIC and STM32 microcontrollers, proficiency in KiCad for PCB design, and practical skills in electrical wiring and control panel assembly. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust electronic solutions from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug electronic hardware for both new and existing products.
- Develop embedded firmware for PIC and STM32 microcontrollers using C/C++.
- Design comprehensive electronic circuits, including power supplies, drivers, sensor and communication interfaces, and control circuits.
- Create schematic diagrams and multilayer or single-layer PCB layouts using KiCad.
- Prepare PCB manufacturing files, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and detailed design documentation.
- Perform PCB bring-up, hardware debugging, fault diagnosis, and design validation using laboratory test equipment.
- Work with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, RS485/Modbus, CAN, and Ethernet as required.
- Interpret and prepare electrical schematics and perform practical electrical wiring for control panels and machinery.
- Support prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and assist in transitioning designs to production.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, production, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of electronics into complete systems.
- Prepare technical reports, test procedures, wiring diagrams, and other engineering documentation.
- Conduct site visits for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Strong practical experience in electronic circuit design and hardware development.
- Proven embedded firmware development skills with PIC and STM32 microcontrollers.
- Proficiency in Embedded C/C++; familiarity with RTOS is advantageous.
- Experience in PCB schematic capture and layout using KiCad.
- Solid understanding of PCB design principles, including component placement, routing, grounding, power distribution, EMC/EMI considerations, and design-for-manufacturing.
- Knowledge of digital and analog electronics, including ADC/DAC, PWM, timers, interrupts, sensors, and actuator control.
- Practical expertise in electrical wiring, control panels, contactors, relays, MCBs/RCCBs, fuses, terminal blocks, and basic electrical protection.
- Ability to read and prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Competence in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in electronics hardware and embedded firmware development.
- Experience with PCB prototyping, rework, soldering, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of IoT, wireless communication, Ethernet, MQTT, or cloud-connected embedded systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently from concept and schematic design through prototype development, testing, and deployment.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000.
- This position requires working on-site to facilitate hands-on development and collaboration.
