Location: Islamabad (on-site, with occasional field visits)
Type: Full-time
Experience: 3–5 years
We are seeking a proactive Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of industrial electronic devices. This role involves close collaboration with mechatronics and software teams, taking projects from initial schematics through to fully tested field products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in circuit and PCB design, with a strong foundation in analog and power electronics, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design circuits and multi-layer PCBs (2–4 layers) using tools such as KiCad or Altium, focusing on sensor interfaces, precision measurement, and microcontroller boards (ESP32 / STM32).
- Develop 12/24 V DC power stages incorporating surge protection, reverse-polarity safeguards, and fuse protection.
- Integrate various sensors and communication interfaces including UART, RS-485/Modbus, I2C, SPI, and Wi-Fi.
- Design control panels for motors, pumps, and valves, including relays, contactors, and overload protection mechanisms.
- Prototype, solder, test, and thoroughly document all designs, including schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and test reports.
- Select appropriate IP65/IP67 enclosures and source locally available components to ensure durability and cost-effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in circuit and PCB design, supported by a portfolio showcasing your designed boards.
- Strong fundamentals in analog and power electronics.
- Experience with precision analog sensing, signal conditioning, and sensor calibration techniques.
- Proven ability to design electronics suitable for outdoor and harsh environments, considering factors such as temperature extremes, vibration, moisture, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters, along with proficiency in SMD soldering. Ability to analyze and characterize undocumented devices is essential.
- Knowledge of safe AC switching and panel wiring standards.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in robotics, particularly with motor drivers, encoders, and sensor feedback systems, is a plus.
- Familiarity with IoT technologies such as MQTT, cloud dashboards, and over-the-air (OTA) updates is advantageous.
- Competitive salary packages and an exemplary work environment are offered.
Please note that the selection process is highly competitive. Only candidates shortlisted for interviews will be contacted. We encourage applicants to prepare a detailed CV along with images or files of PCB designs they have created to demonstrate their expertise.
We look forward to welcoming a skilled Electronics Hardware Engineer who is eager to contribute to innovative industrial solutions in a dynamic team setting.
