ELV Design & Estimation Engineer

Aala Tech is seeking a skilled ELV Design & Estimation Engineer to join their team onsite in Gulberg II, Lahore. The role involves working Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm with a market-competitive salary. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical proposals, BOQs, material take-offs, and cost estimates for ELV projects. This position requires close collaboration with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive project submissions. The engineer will also support the sales team during client meetings and technical presentations, ensuring that solutions meet both technical and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and cost estimates for ELV projects.
- Review and analyze Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Design and recommend appropriate ELV solutions, including Security Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Structured Cabling, Networking, and other low-current systems.
- Develop technical submittals, compliance sheets, system architectures, and proposal documentation.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings to develop accurate project cost estimates.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to gather product information, ensure technical compliance, and secure competitive pricing.
- Assist the sales team during client meetings, technical presentations, site visits, and clarification sessions.
- Evaluate client requirements and propose technically and commercially viable solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align proposals and estimates with project requirements and company standards.
- Stay updated on ELV technologies, products, industry standards, and market pricing trends.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ELV Design, Estimation, Pre-Sales, Security Systems, or Networking.
- Strong understanding of CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Structured Cabling, Networking, and other ELV systems.
- Proficient in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and technical proposal development.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements accurately.
- Excellent technical, analytical, communication, and proposal-writing skills.
- Effective coordination and negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and proposals under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
