Pavago is seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist to join a client’s team in a full-time, remote capacity aligned with U.S. business hours. This role involves building, executing, and optimizing email campaigns, automated workflows, and audience segmentation strategies that drive engagement, conversions, and revenue. The specialist will manage the entire email marketing lifecycle—from campaign creation and copywriting to automation, list management, deliverability, testing, and performance analysis. This position is ideal for someone who views email as a measurable growth channel and is comfortable owning end-to-end campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and launch email campaigns using platforms such as HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, and ActiveCampaign. Write compelling subject lines, email copy, and calls-to-action tailored to different audience segments and lifecycle stages. Build and edit responsive email templates, including basic HTML/CSS adjustments, ensuring campaigns are thoroughly tested before launch.

- Create and optimize automated email sequences and behavioral workflows, including lead nurture sequences, drip campaigns, re-engagement efforts, abandoned cart flows, and lifecycle campaigns. Configure triggers, timing, conditions, and audience rules, testing workflows to guarantee accurate execution and continuously improving sequences based on engagement and conversion data.

- Manage email databases ranging from 20,000 to over 200,000 contacts. Segment audiences by persona, lifecycle stage, engagement, geography, and customer behavior. Maintain clean, organized contact data by removing or suppressing bounced, inactive, and high-risk contacts to protect list quality and sender reputation.

- Monitor deliverability, inbox placement, and sender reputation. Support configuration and management of SPF, DKIM, DNS settings, and suppression lists. Track bounce rates, spam complaints, and unsubscribe activity while ensuring compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA regulations.

- Conduct structured A/B tests on subject lines, email copy, CTAs, send times, and content variations. Track key performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, unsubscribe rates, and bounce rates. Identify underperforming campaigns and implement data-driven improvements to enhance engagement and conversion.

- Prepare weekly and monthly email performance reports, tracking conversions and revenue attribution across ESP, CRM, and analytics platforms. Analyze trends and opportunities within campaign data and translate insights into actionable recommendations shared with marketing and sales teams.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years of professional email marketing experience with hands-on proficiency in at least one major ESP such as HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign.

- Proven experience building email campaigns and automated workflows, strong audience segmentation, and list management skills.

- Excellent email copywriting abilities and basic HTML/CSS knowledge for template adjustments.

- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data segmentation.

- Solid understanding of email marketing metrics, optimization techniques, and compliance requirements.

- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Availability to work during U.S. business hours.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience managing large databases of 50,000+ contacts.

- Familiarity with deliverability tools such as Litmus, GlockApps, or Postmark.

- Background in SaaS, e-commerce, or B2B services.

- Experience integrating ESPs with CRM platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot.

- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Looker, or marketing dashboards.

- Strong understanding of revenue attribution and lifecycle marketing.

This role offers full ownership of email marketing execution and optimization with direct impact on engagement, conversions, and revenue. It provides the opportunity to build sophisticated lifecycle and automation programs using leading ESP and marketing automation platforms. The position operates in a data-driven environment focused on testing and measurable results, offering strong autonomy in a fully remote setting. Growth opportunities exist in Lifecycle Marketing, CRM Marketing, Marketing Automation, or Growth Marketing.

The interview process includes an initial application review, a video introduction, recruiter and client interviews, and a practical email marketing task before an offer and onboarding. Candidates with hands-on experience in email campaigns, HubSpot or Klaviyo, automation workflows, segmentation, deliverability, and performance optimization are encouraged to apply.
