Embedded Hardware Integration Engineer

The Embedded Hardware Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in integrating embedded systems with AI, automation, and data platforms within Helixora’s client solutions. This full-time remote position involves designing and implementing hardware interfaces, configuring microcontrollers and sensors, and validating embedded boards and modules in both lab and production-like environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with software and data engineering teams to define hardware requirements, develop firmware for communication and control, and conduct integration testing to ensure reliable device and network performance. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware issues, documenting integration procedures, supporting deployment and monitoring of embedded systems at customer sites, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Helixora’s intelligent infrastructure offerings.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement hardware interfaces for embedded systems integrated with AI and automation platforms.
- Configure and program microcontrollers, sensors, and communication modules.
- Develop, debug, and optimize embedded firmware to ensure efficient communication and control.
- Collaborate with software and data engineering teams to define hardware requirements and integration strategies.
- Perform integration testing and validation of embedded boards and modules in lab and production-like environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues using lab equipment and root-cause analysis techniques.
- Document hardware integration procedures, create schematics, and develop technical guides.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of embedded systems at customer sites.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for Helixora’s hardware and intelligent infrastructure solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Strong embedded hardware design and integration experience, including working with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
- Proficiency in embedded firmware development using C/C++ and scripting languages like Python for automation tasks.
- Experience with hardware testing and troubleshooting, including the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Ability to develop test plans and perform root-cause analysis of hardware and firmware issues.
- Knowledge of system integration and networking, including connecting embedded devices to cloud or edge platforms and familiarity with protocols such as TCP/IP and MQTT.
- Excellent collaboration and technical documentation skills, including writing clear integration guides and communicating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in embedded systems or hardware integration, preferably with exposure to AI or automation solutions.
