This role involves conducting thorough quality audits of embroidery, printing, and other garment embellishment processes to ensure that both in-process and finished products meet approved samples, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The position requires close attention to detail and a strong understanding of garment construction and embellishment techniques to maintain high-quality output and minimize defects.

Key Responsibilities

Embroidery Quality Auditing: Inspect embroidery work for quality, workmanship, and adherence to approved samples. Check placement, size, design, color, density, alignment, and overall appearance. Identify defects such as missing stitches, broken threads, tension issues, loose threads, poor registration, puckering, and design distortion. Verify embroidery against approved artwork and technical specifications.

Printing Quality Auditing: Audit printed garments or panels to ensure compliance with approved standards. Review print placement, size, color, registration, sharpness, coverage, and overall appearance. Detect defects including color variation, misprinting, bleeding, cracking, peeling, pinholes, uneven coverage, and poor adhesion. Compare production output with approved print strike-offs and samples.

In-Process & Final Audits: Conduct regular audits during embellishment operations and perform final quality checks before garments proceed to the next production stage. Identify defects early to reduce rework and rejection. Verify that corrective actions have been implemented effectively.

Quality Standards & Compliance: Ensure all embellishment work complies with buyer standards, specifications, artwork, and company SOPs. Follow AQL and internal inspection procedures consistently across embroidery and printing processes. Approve only quality-compliant work for further production.

Defect Identification & Reporting: Identify, classify, and document major, minor, and critical defects. Prepare daily audit reports and maintain accurate quality records. Report serious or recurring quality issues to supervisors and the Quality Manager. Monitor trends in rejection, rework, and defects.

Corrective & Preventive Actions: Collaborate with Embroidery, Printing, Production, and Quality teams to resolve issues. Identify root causes of recurring defects and follow up on corrective measures. Recommend improvements to reduce rework, rejection, and customer complaints.

Measurement & Verification: Verify measurements, placement, and dimensions of embellishments against approved specifications using appropriate tools and inspection equipment. Ensure artwork, placement guides, and approved samples are available during inspections.

Documentation & Coordination: Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, defect reports, approved samples, and corrective actions. Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, QA/QC, and Embellishment departments. Escalate any quality concerns that could impact bulk production or customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Garments, Fashion, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in embroidery, printing, embellishment quality control, or garment inspection. Strong knowledge of embroidery and printing defects is essential, along with a good understanding of garment construction and embellishment processes.
