The Electrical & Instruments Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems within the facility. This role supports production activities by maintaining electrical equipment reliability, addressing instrumentation issues, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. The engineer will also play a key role in enforcing electrical safety standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the operation and control of electrical and instrumentation systems during assigned shifts to ensure continuous production.
- Maintain the reliability and availability of electrical equipment by promptly identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring electrical problems and implement effective corrective actions.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to enhance equipment longevity and performance.
- Conduct routine inspections to detect potential problems early and take proactive measures.
- Enforce compliance with electrical safety standards and conduct regular safety audits, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, engineers, and technicians to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team to improve troubleshooting and repair efficiency.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Conduct training sessions for the maintenance team on new equipment, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technological advancements in electrical systems.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (BSc/B.Tech).
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong expertise in electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, and control systems.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Thorough understanding of electrical safety standards and protocols.
- Ability to foster a safety-first culture within the team.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the capability to analyze and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
