Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI-infused, user-facing applications by integrating foundation models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic patterns, and AI-assisted development techniques into production software.
- Implement AI-driven feature slices such as prompt templates, RAG retrieval, and tool-calling, ensuring alignment with agreed acceptance criteria.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot to scaffold and refactor code, rigorously reviewing all suggestions for correctness and security before integration.
- Integrate foundation-model APIs into microservices and expose these capabilities through well-designed REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Validate AI model outputs for accuracy, grounding, format, and safety, incorporating regression checks to detect hallucinations and model drift.
- Monitor AI features for latency, token cost, and error rates, optimizing prompts and context to meet performance targets.
- Troubleshoot and debug non-deterministic failures across the prompt–retrieval–tool workflow, implementing robust error-handling and fallback mechanisms.

Required Qualifications
- Practical experience in AI application development patterns, including prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and tool-calling.
- Proficiency in coding with mainstream programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Java, along with hands-on experience using AI pair-programming assistants like GitHub Copilot.
- Familiarity with integrating foundation-model APIs into backend applications using SDKs, function/tool schemas, and orchestration frameworks.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture and designing REST or GraphQL APIs that expose AI capabilities to front-end and downstream consumers.
- Ability to validate AI outputs for correctness, grounding, and safety, while monitoring latency, token usage, and failure modes.
- Experience contributing to AI-enabled applications, features, RAG assistants, or agentic workflows through academic, personal, or professional projects.
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies, version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes.
- Skills in debugging AI application behaviors, including handling prompt failures, hallucinations, and response quality issues.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
