Engineering Project Manager (Ruby on Rails)

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Lead sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives for engineering teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

Technical Leadership: Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders by translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.

Timeline & Risk Management: Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks to maintain development schedules and deliverables.

Stakeholder Management: Provide consistent and transparent status updates to executive leadership, covering project health, timelines, and resource allocation.

Resource Optimization: Oversee engineering capacity and allocate resources effectively across multiple concurrent workstreams to maximize productivity.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 9 years in technical project management, program management, or engineering leadership roles.

Core Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience or deep conceptual knowledge of Ruby on Rails frameworks, architecture, and deployment pipelines.

Secondary Technical Skills: Familiarity with Java for legacy service integration or enterprise microservices, and React for modern front-end workflows and state management.

Agile Frameworks: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification is highly preferred, along with proven experience managing Jira or Concurrency boards.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate difficult trade-off discussions balancing speed, scope, and quality.

Mandatory Skills: Expertise in Ruby on Rails is essential.
