Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging undergraduate courses in English Language and Linguistics.
- Plan and conduct lectures, tutorials, activities, and assessments that align with academic standards.
- Integrate AI tools and digital technologies into teaching and learning processes where appropriate.
- Encourage students to use AI responsibly to support their learning, research, academic writing, communication, and skill development.
- Develop course materials, assignments, assessments, and learning activities that reflect contemporary academic practices.
- Promote critical thinking, academic writing skills, and effective communication in the classroom.
- Employ innovative teaching strategies and digital resources to enhance student engagement.
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to students.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and other academic responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- MPhil in English from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Strong academic background in English Linguistics.
- Excellent command of the English language, including academic writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools and emerging educational technologies.
- Ability and willingness to explore and integrate technology-supported teaching practices.
- Strong presentation skills, effective classroom management, and the ability to engage students.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
- Relevant teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
- Candidates who demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive interest in using AI and technology to enrich the learning experience will be highly valued.
