Enterprise Solution Architect – Fintech & Banking

Nevka Systems is seeking an experienced Enterprise Solution Architect to lead the design of secure and scalable technology platforms within the fintech and banking sectors. In this role, you will influence the architecture of digital banking, payments, remittance, and other financial services platforms. Collaborating closely with business, product, engineering, security, compliance, and operations teams, you will translate business objectives into practical architectural solutions that meet both delivery timelines and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Define comprehensive end-to-end architecture for fintech platforms, covering digital banking, wallets, payments, remittance, ledger systems, onboarding, and back-office operations.
- Translate business, product, and regulatory requirements into detailed architecture diagrams, solution designs, integration specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
- Design secure APIs, event-driven integrations, data flows, and establish clear service boundaries between internal systems and third-party providers.
- Provide guidance to engineering teams on architecture decisions, design reviews, non-functional requirements, and adherence to technical standards.
- Ensure the architecture addresses critical aspects such as security, availability, scalability, performance, auditability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to incorporate requirements related to KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, safeguarding, data protection, and payment security.
- Evaluate vendors and technology options, document trade-offs, and define the division of responsibilities between the platform and external providers.
- Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt, recommending practical solutions to mitigate them.
- Support projects throughout their lifecycle, from discovery and design phases through development, testing, deployment, and handover.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in software or technology roles, with significant exposure to enterprise or solution architecture design.
- Strong background in fintech, banking, payments, remittance, lending, or other regulated financial services environments.
- Solid understanding of core banking concepts, including wallets, double-entry ledgers, payment processing, reconciliation, and financial controls.
- Proven experience designing API-led and event-driven systems, microservices architectures, integration patterns, and secure data flows.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ability to work effectively with architecture diagrams, technical documentation, requirements gathering, and delivery planning.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical decisions to both business and engineering stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Node.js, React, or Remix-based platforms.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF, BIAN, Domain-Driven Design, or Hexagonal Architecture.
- Knowledge of industry standards and controls including ISO 20022, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, OWASP, and DORA.
- Experience integrating with KYC, AML, fraud detection, card processing, open banking, payment, or banking-as-a-service providers.
- Previous involvement supporting regulated financial institutions or Electronic Money Institutions (EMI), Payment Institutions (PI), Payment Service Providers (PSP), or digital banking programs.
