The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that all operations comply with established HSE standards and regulations. This position involves providing expert advice to minimize hazards and unhealthy situations, developing essential safety documentation, and leading initiatives that promote a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing settings and be capable of driving continuous improvement in safety practices across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines by advising on measures to reduce risks and maintain safe working conditions.
- Develop and maintain HSE-related documentation required for project initiation, including warehouse management safety protocols, risk assessments, job safety analyses, and daily reporting tools.
- Create HSE plans that align with company policies, procedures, and the requirements of local communities.
- Provide HSE leadership and operational support across all organizational levels and operational activities.
- Conduct HSE awareness sessions, including Toolbox Talks (TBT), and deliver training to new and existing personnel on emergency procedures and safety protocols.
- Investigate industrial accidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries to identify root causes, implement preventive measures, and manage return-to-work processes.
- Train employees at all levels on HSE matters, with a focus on particularly hazardous tasks.
- Coordinate the procurement, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Develop and maintain an Emergency Response team to ensure employee safety during critical incidents.
- Prepare and submit quarterly reports on effluents and discharge gases to the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Lead operations and ensure compliance of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Chemical Engineering.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles within industrial, manufacturing, or FMCG environments.
