An experienced Environmental Expert is sought for a 12-month contract to support projects in Faisalabad. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in environmental engineering, combined with practical experience in managing environmental aspects of high-voltage (HV) substation projects. This role requires a professional who can ensure compliance with environmental standards and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects while maintaining sustainability and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage environmental compliance for HV substation projects, ensuring adherence to local and international environmental regulations.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits in line with project requirements and ISO 14001 standards.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans and mitigation strategies to minimize environmental risks.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure environmental best practices are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, preparing documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide training and guidance on environmental policies and procedures to project staff.
- Ensure all activities comply with NEBOSH IGC safety standards and other relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Engineering.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Lead Auditor certification for ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- A minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 years in roles directly related to environmental management within infrastructure or energy projects.
- Proven track record of successfully completing at least one HV substation project, demonstrating practical knowledge of environmental challenges and solutions in this sector.
