We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Officer for a 12-month contract position based in Faisalabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering and proven experience in managing environmental aspects of high-voltage (HV) substation projects. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure compliance with environmental standards and contribute to sustainable project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement environmental management plans in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor environmental compliance and identify potential risks.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into all phases of HV substation projects.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports, documentation, and audits as required by company policies and local regulations.
- Facilitate training sessions and awareness programs related to environmental health and safety.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure all environmental permits and licenses are up to date.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of environmental policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Engineering.
- Certification in NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
- Certification in Lead Auditor ISO 14001 (LA ISO 14001).
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant environmental role.
- Proven track record of successfully completing at least one HV substation project, demonstrating practical knowledge of environmental management in this sector.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Residency in Faisalabad is preferred to facilitate onsite coordination and timely project execution.
