ESL (ESLint) Developer

We are seeking a skilled ESLint Developer with over three years of experience to join our onsite team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. This role focuses on ensuring code quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance across extensive JavaScript and TypeScript codebases. The primary responsibility will be to develop custom ESLint rules and plugins, enforce coding standards, and support scalable front-end engineering efforts, particularly within large-scale e-commerce applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, configure, and maintain ESLint rules and configurations tailored to project needs.
- Build custom ESLint rules and plugins aligned with development and coding standards.
- Define and enforce coding standards across JavaScript and TypeScript applications to maintain high code quality.
- Identify and resolve issues related to code quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance.
- Create and maintain reusable ESLint configurations that can be applied across multiple projects.
- Integrate ESLint and automated code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows.
- Optimize linting processes to efficiently handle large codebases and monorepos.
- Troubleshoot ESLint configurations, parsers, plugins, and dependency-related challenges.
- Support ESLint upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvements to keep tooling up to date.
- Collaborate closely with front-end development teams to enhance overall development practices and code-quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience with ESLint, including practical knowledge of its ecosystem.
- Proven ability to develop custom ESLint rules and plugins.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of their nuances.
- Good understanding of Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) and static code analysis techniques.
- Experience with modern front-end development frameworks, preferably React.js.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and package managers like npm, Yarn, or pnpm.
- Experience integrating code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience working with large-scale JavaScript and TypeScript codebases.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on large-scale e-commerce applications, understanding their unique challenges.
- Knowledge of Next.js and Node.js frameworks.
- Familiarity with monorepo tools such as Nx or Turborepo.
- Awareness of code formatting and linting tools like Prettier and Stylelint.
- Experience with code-quality platforms such as SonarQube or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Git hooks tools like Husky and lint-staged.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest or equivalents.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
