We are seeking an experienced ESLint Developer to join our onsite team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ensuring code quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance across large-scale JavaScript and TypeScript codebases. This role primarily involves developing custom ESLint rules and plugins, enforcing coding standards, and supporting scalable front-end engineering efforts, especially within large-scale e-commerce applications. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain ESLint rules and configurations tailored to project needs.
- Build custom ESLint rules and plugins based on established development and coding standards.
- Define and enforce coding standards across JavaScript and TypeScript applications to ensure consistency.
- Identify and resolve issues related to code quality, maintainability, consistency, and performance.
- Create and maintain reusable ESLint configurations applicable across multiple projects.
- Integrate ESLint and automated code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows.
- Optimize linting processes for handling large codebases and monorepos efficiently.
- Troubleshoot issues related to ESLint configurations, parsers, plugins, and dependencies.
- Support ESLint upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvements to keep tooling up to date.
- Collaborate closely with front-end development teams to elevate overall development and code-quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with ESLint, including configuring and maintaining rules.
- Proven ability to develop custom ESLint rules and plugins.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
- Good understanding of Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) and static code analysis techniques.
- Experience with modern front-end development frameworks, preferably React.js.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and package managers like npm, Yarn, or pnpm.
- Experience integrating code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior work experience with large-scale JavaScript/TypeScript codebases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale e-commerce applications.
- Knowledge of Next.js and Node.js frameworks.
- Familiarity with monorepo tools such as Nx or Turborepo.
- Understanding of code formatting and style tools like Prettier and Stylelint.
- Experience using code-quality platforms such as SonarQube or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Git hooks management tools like Husky and lint-staged.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or equivalents.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
