Estimation and Design officer

The Estimation and Design Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Faisalabad. This role involves preparing detailed technical and commercial estimates for LV switchgear and control components by analyzing project requirements, reviewing drawings and specifications, and calculating material and labor costs. The officer will design switchgear and control panel layouts, select appropriate components, and ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and customer specifications. Collaboration with sales, purchasing, and technical teams is essential to support quotations, respond to customer inquiries, and provide technical assistance. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining documentation, updating cost databases, coordinating with suppliers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of estimation and design processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate technical and commercial estimates for LV switchgear and control components based on project requirements.
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine material and labor needs.
- Design switchgear and control panel layouts, selecting suitable components in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with sales, purchasing, and technical teams to support quotation processes and respond to customer inquiries.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, cost databases, and supplier coordination records.
- Provide technical backup and support during project execution and customer interactions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimation and design workflows and processes.
- Ensure all work adheres to quality, safety, and regulatory standards relevant to electrical equipment.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of LV switchgear, control components, and automation systems, including familiarity with circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and related equipment.
- Proven experience in estimation and design for electrical or industrial projects, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in design and office software such as AutoCAD or similar CAD tools, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in cost calculations and design work.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently with sales, technical, and supplier teams, as well as to engage professionally with customers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, on-site work environment.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Relevant industry experience in switchgear or industrial automation is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of quality and safety standards applicable to electrical equipment, including familiarity with ISO and CE certification requirements.
