Estimation Engineer

Bilal Switchgear Engineering, a leading manufacturer of medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear in Pakistan since 1978, is seeking an Estimation Engineer to join their team in Lahore. The company is a licensed ABB manufacturer, equipped with advanced CNC and laser cutting machinery, and staffed by experienced engineers. Bilal Switchgear ensures all products meet national and international standards through rigorous quality assurance processes. Representing global brands such as ABB, MEGABARRE, GBE, and SIEMENS, the company provides comprehensive electrical solutions including electrification, automation, SCADA, BMS, and renewable energy systems for buildings and industrial plants.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and proposals for MV/LV switchgear and related electrical projects.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to accurately quantify materials and labor requirements.
- Collaborate closely with design and sales teams to ensure alignment of project scope and cost estimates.
- Conduct market research to validate current material prices and labor costs, ensuring competitive and realistic bids.
- Support bid preparation activities and participate in technical and commercial discussions with clients and suppliers.
- Assist in negotiation processes to secure favorable terms and maintain strong supplier and client relationships.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and meet client requirements for accuracy and competitiveness.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation within electrical or engineering projects.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and construction/infrastructure concepts.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Excellent research abilities for cost analysis, market trend evaluation, and technical data collection.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, with familiarity in estimation or ERP software tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Commitment to safety, quality standards, and ethical business practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
