The European Portfolio Manager (Student Recruitment) is a full-time, on-site position based in Islamabad. This role is primarily responsible for managing and expanding GSL’s student recruitment portfolio focused on European countries, including Italy, Germany, and other relevant markets. The successful candidate will develop and implement recruitment strategies, foster strong relationships with universities and partner institutions, and identify new opportunities for student placements. Advising prospective students on appropriate programs, admission criteria, and funding options is a key aspect of the role. The manager will also provide support throughout the application and enrollment processes to ensure a smooth experience for students.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute effective student recruitment strategies targeting European higher education institutions.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities and educational agents to enhance placement opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new markets and opportunities for student recruitment within Europe.
- Advise prospective students on program selection, admission requirements, scholarship options, and visa processes.
- Support students throughout the application, admission, and enrollment stages to ensure high satisfaction and success rates.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance metrics and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Coordinate marketing activities and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver seamless service.
- Manage multiple recruitment pipelines and maintain accurate records of student applications and placements.
- Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements related to international student recruitment.

Required Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends, student demand, and portfolio performance.
- Solid knowledge of finance and budgeting to manage recruitment targets, cost structures, and revenue projections.
- Proven experience in portfolio management, particularly handling multiple student recruitment pipelines and institutional relationships.
- Familiarity with investment and trading concepts or experience managing value-based portfolios and risk is advantageous for strategic planning.
- Prior experience in international education, student recruitment, or consultancy focused on European higher education institutions is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Education Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of one or more European languages is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects efficiently in an on-site setting.
