Event Interior Designer

Located in Lahore, The Catalyst Group is seeking an experienced Event Interior Designer to join one of Pakistan’s leading premium event management companies. This role involves transforming client briefs into innovative and practical event environments that reflect high standards of design and functionality. The successful candidate will develop creative concepts, detailed layouts, and technical drawings while ensuring alignment with budgetary and site-specific requirements. Collaboration with client servicing, production teams, fabricators, and other stakeholders is essential to oversee the design process from initial concept through to on-site installation, guaranteeing the flawless execution of approved designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop event concepts including mood boards, color palettes, material selections, furniture layouts, and décor treatments tailored to client briefs.
- Design various event elements such as entrances, stages, backdrops, branded spaces, lounges, seating and dining areas, exhibition zones, and other specialized event environments.
- Conduct thorough site visits to verify measurements, assess circulation and access, and identify installation constraints prior to finalizing design layouts.
- Produce presentation visuals, dimensioned plans, elevations, and technical drawings to support quotations, fabrication, and installation processes.
- Specify materials, finishes, dimensions, and quantities, preparing comprehensive design schedules and bills of quantities in coordination with production teams and cost controllers.
- Coordinate with fabricators, florists, lighting specialists, and signage vendors to review technical details, samples, and mock-ups, ensuring design integrity.
- Maintain version control of drawings and design approval records, clearly communicating any design changes along with their cost or timeline implications before production begins.
- Oversee on-site installations to ensure compliance with approved designs, assist in resolving execution challenges, and document any final design adjustments.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in event, exhibition, interior, hospitality, or temporary-space design.
- Strong knowledge of spatial planning, proportions, materials, detailing, fabrication, and installation requirements.
- Proficiency in creating clear visualizations, renders, presentations, and technical drawings suitable for production teams.
- A relevant degree or diploma in Design, Architecture, or an equivalent qualification with demonstrated practical ability.
- Willingness to conduct site surveys and actively participate in installation reviews as needed.
