Youth Academic Council (YAC) is seeking an Event Management Intern to assist in the planning and execution of various on-site events in Islamabad. This internship offers hands-on experience in coordinating seminars, workshops, conferences, and training sessions aimed at youth development. The intern will work closely with the YAC team to manage event logistics, communicate with participants and partners, and ensure smooth event operations. This role requires regular on-site presence and active involvement during key event dates, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with logistical arrangements for events, including venue coordination and setup.
- Support participant registration processes and maintain clear communication with attendees.
- Prepare and organize event materials such as agendas, handouts, and signage.
- Maintain and update event calendars to track upcoming activities and deadlines.
- Liaise with external partners, speakers, and stakeholders to facilitate event participation.
- Provide on-ground support during events to ensure seamless execution and address any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the YAC team to enhance the overall event experience and impact.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with participants, partners, and team members.
- Basic experience in event planning or coordination, including academic, volunteer, or community events.
- Proficiency in office software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools, along with comfort using email and online communication platforms.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities, especially in dynamic or fast-paced environments.
- Genuine interest in youth development, education, or career counseling initiatives. Prior involvement in student organizations or community programs is advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Islamabad and availability during key event dates, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or diploma program in relevant fields such as Management, Social Sciences, Communications, or related disciplines is preferred but not mandatory.
