We are seeking a dedicated Executive – HSE & Compliance to join our team at the Rasheedabad site in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation. This full-time role involves ensuring workplace safety through training, inspections, and coordination of emergency preparedness activities, while supporting sustainability initiatives and maintaining thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct HSE, safety, compliance, and personal protective equipment (PPE) training sessions for employees and workers to promote a safe working environment.
- Perform regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and compliance gaps.
- Monitor critical safety areas including fire safety, first aid readiness, chemical handling, waste management, and machine safety protocols.
- Coordinate emergency drills and manage firefighting teams and first-aid responders to ensure preparedness.
- Oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) system and conduct daily safety inspections to maintain operational safety standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to implement HSE policies and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
- Manage the maintenance and refilling of fire safety equipment and conduct regular inspections of safety gear.
- Support the implementation of sustainability and environmental initiatives aligned with company goals.
- Assign and monitor tasks within the HSE team and perform additional HSE-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar HSE and compliance role, with hands-on knowledge of workplace safety and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience specifically in compliance and audit functions.
