The Executive Director of Budgeting and Financial Planning, reporting to the Vice President of Finance, plays a critical role in supporting the University’s financial planning and resource allocation processes. This position is responsible for the development, preparation, analysis, and ongoing tracking of the University’s general operating budget, ensuring sound financial management and alignment with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical support for financial planning and resource allocation decision-making, contributing to strategic financial initiatives (45%).
- Develop, prepare, analyze, and monitor the University’s operating budgets to ensure accuracy and fiscal responsibility (50%).
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the University (5%).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Experience working in not-for-profit organizations, higher education, auditing, or related consulting practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred, enhancing the candidate’s expertise in financial management and planning.
This is a full-time, exempt position based at the Richmond Campus, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours or more. The role is classified under salary grade G28 and participates in the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System (KTRS). This position does not require driving responsibilities.
