The Executive – Paint Shop will play a crucial role in supporting and monitoring paint shop operations within the tractor body production line. This position ensures strict adherence to painting processes, quality standards, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance to deliver consistent product quality and operational efficiency. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing paint shop activities, maintaining process compliance, resolving paint-related issues promptly, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with paint shop processes, including paint application methods, electrostatic painting systems, and defined process parameters.
- Inspect painted tractor bodies using standard tools to detect paint defects or deviations, initiating timely corrective actions.
- Support preventive maintenance and ensure the proper functioning of paint shop machinery, tools, equipment, and fixtures to reduce downtime.
- Ensure safe operation of electrostatic painting equipment by adhering to safety procedures and proper handling of tools.
- Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot paint defects, equipment malfunctions, and process issues, maintaining detailed records of problems and resolutions.
- Monitor consumption of paint, chemicals, and pre-treatment parameters to ensure efficient use and process consistency.
- Assist in continuous improvement, quality enhancement, and safety initiatives, providing on-the-job guidance and training to painting staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Chemical Engineering, or a related qualification from an HEC-recognized institution.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or assembly operations, preferably within a plant environment.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency with Electrostatic Painting Systems and paint shop processes.
- Knowledge of quality inspection techniques related to painting.
- Understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
