The Executive Procurement – Plant role is based at the Akora Khattak plant site within the electrical maintenance industry. Reporting to the Project Manager Plant, Head of Procurement, or Deputy General Manager, this position is responsible for managing procurement activities specifically related to plant and site operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing electrical and maintenance-related materials, vendor development, and negotiation, with the ability to handle procurement processes independently while ensuring compliance with safety and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle including purchase requisitions, requests for quotations (RFQ), quotation evaluation, comparative statements, negotiation, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, inspection, goods receipt notes (GRN), and invoice coordination.
- Obtain multiple quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing and payment terms to control procurement costs effectively.
- Evaluate and maintain approved vendor lists, ensuring at least 2–3 reliable sources for critical items.
- Coordinate urgent and emergency purchases without compromising company controls, responding immediately to maintenance and breakdown requirements.
- Liaise closely with local vendors, maintenance, operations teams, stores, finance, and client representatives to ensure material availability and compliance with site procedures.
- Monitor vendor performance, manage quality and delivery issues, and build a robust database of electrical and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) suppliers.
- Ensure all purchased materials meet approved specifications, safety standards, and client compliance, including obtaining necessary certificates and following plant security protocols.
- Utilize ERP systems for purchase requisitions, orders, vendor records, inventory tracking, GRN transactions, and reporting.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Commerce, or Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in plant or site purchasing, preferably within electrical maintenance procurement or manufacturing/engineering sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical items such as cables, MCCB/MCB/ACB/VCB, contactors, relays, switchgear, fuses, electrical panels, motors, bearings, transformers, capacitors, UPS/batteries, and lighting components.
- Familiarity with maintenance and MRO items including fasteners, tools, lubricants, PPE, consumables, hardware, and mechanical/electrical spare parts.
- Proficient in handling procurement documentation, vendor evaluation, price negotiation, and delivery coordination.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and experience with ERP purchase modules; familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar systems is advantageous.
- Ability to understand technical specifications, compare quotations, and identify equivalent items.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Competencies:
- Diploma or certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
- Experience in FMCG, tobacco, food, pharmaceutical, cement, power, telecom, or other manufacturing plants is preferred.
- Strong vendor management skills including supplier development, performance monitoring, and quality control.
- Demonstrated behavioral competencies such as honesty, ethics, strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness, organization, responsiveness under pressure, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Ability to work independently in a plant environment, handling urgent procurement needs while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, ensuring safety-critical items are not substituted without authorization and all client and plant security procedures are followed.
