Expert Data Center Infra Operations

JazzWorld is seeking an Expert Data Center Infrastructure Operations professional to play a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing the resilience, efficiency, and scalability of its digital infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the availability and performance of Data Centers and Core Network sites by managing passive infrastructure operations and driving initiatives around modernization, energy optimization, operational excellence, and AI-led transformation. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technology, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, CRA, Enterprise, and external partners to optimize infrastructure and improve operational efficiency, preparing the Data Centers for future demands.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive the performance and availability of Data Center passive infrastructure, ensuring critical KPIs and SLAs are consistently met.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance (O&M) of diesel generators (DGs), automatic transfer switches (ATS), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), rectifiers, batteries, fire detection and suppression systems (FDSS), and precision cooling systems, ensuring effective frontline maintenance (FLM) partner performance.
- Lead initiatives focused on Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) optimization, energy efficiency, and operational expenditure (OPEX) reduction without compromising resilience or service continuity.
- Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance using Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and other tools, converting data into actionable insights and improvement opportunities.
- Drive Data Center modernization, expansion, and greenfield projects in close coordination with Planning and Technology teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 physical security standards, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) regulations, and TIA-942 requirements, including preparing legacy sites for certification.
- Optimize white-space, power, and cooling utilization while managing capacity forecasting and end-of-life equipment replacement.
- Identify and implement opportunities for AI adoption, automation, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Strengthen operational governance through standard operating procedure (SOP) reviews, audits, joint site visits, FLM performance evaluations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage asset, inventory, vendor relations, and invoice processing effectively across Data Centers and Core sites.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in ICT passive infrastructure, Data Centers, and/or power systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of TIA-942 Rated III and Uptime Tier III standards, with hands-on experience in Data Center power, cooling, passive infrastructure, modernization, and expansion.
- Proven experience in ICT/Core Passive Infrastructure project management, coupled with strong analytical, data-driven problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated interest in AI, automation, and digitalization of infrastructure operations.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
