We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable (AR) professional for a full-time, on-site position based in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience managing the complete billing cycle. This includes creating and submitting claims, following up on outstanding accounts, resolving denials, and posting payments. Daily responsibilities involve reviewing patient data, verifying insurance coverage, identifying trends affecting reimbursements, and ensuring timely resolution of billing issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire medical billing cycle, including claim creation, submission, follow-up, and resolution of accounts receivable.
- Review patient information and verify insurance eligibility and coverage.
- Work on claim denials by researching root causes and implementing corrective actions to reduce rejections.
- Post payments accurately and reconcile accounts to maintain up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to ensure compliance with payer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update billing systems in accordance with current regulations.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies and practice staff to resolve billing issues and optimize revenue.
- Identify trends and patterns in billing data that impact reimbursement and suggest process improvements.
- Uphold confidentiality standards when handling sensitive patient and financial information.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation relevant to billing.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and its application in medical billing and claims processing.
- Experience working with various insurance payers, including commercial insurance plans and Medicare.
- Demonstrated ability to handle denials, investigate root causes, and apply corrective measures.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and analytical skills to manage high claim volumes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Lahore.
