We are seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to support strategic investment opportunities across various markets. This role, based in Pakistan and reporting directly to VEON HQ, involves financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and transaction execution. The position offers global exposure and the chance to work on deals spanning the TMT, fintech, and digital sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of the M&A pipeline across VEON markets.
- Conduct financial analysis and valuation using methods such as DCF, comparable-company, and precedent-transaction analysis.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and materials for internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a knowledge repository of TMT, fintech, and digital transactions and peer benchmarks.
- Coordinate cross-functional due diligence workstreams and manage relationships with external advisors.
- Assist in transaction execution, including preparation and review of key deal documentation.
- Monitor post-transaction KPIs and assess performance against the original deal rationale.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an MBA in Finance/Accounting and/or professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CA are highly desirable.
- 4-6+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development/M&A, private equity, venture capital, or related fields.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions.
- Solid understanding of TMT, fintech, and digital business models.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end M&A process, including due diligence and transaction execution.
- Excellent analytical, structuring, and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies with a strong ownership mindset.
- Proven experience supporting transactions through screening, financial modeling, and due diligence coordination.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial data and market intelligence platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, and Factiva.
- Understanding of legal documentation and key commercial terms related to transactions.
