Expert .NET Engineer

Ciklum is seeking an Expert .NET Engineer to join our dynamic team full-time in Pakistan. As a custom product engineering company, we collaborate with multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will work on a digital transformation project for a leading global provider of audit, consulting, financial advisory, and tax services. The project focuses on evaluating and modernizing technology across the tax lifecycle by analyzing existing assets, assessing functionalities, and building new solutions to replace outdated systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop back-end functionality for new features and enhancements.
- Participate in code and architectural reviews while documenting system architecture.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Take a proactive role in solution development and process improvements.
- Contribute to delivering the product roadmap and future planning.
- Address complex development challenges and provide creative, rapid field support solutions.
- Ensure adherence to high coding standards by writing testable, automatable, and performant code throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate and enhance productive development.

Required Qualifications
- Over 4 years of commercial software development experience.
- Strong foundation in computer science principles including OOP, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Solid understanding of database theory, including both relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and enterprise design patterns.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP and REST, along with authentication and authorization practices.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB and key-value stores such as Redis or Memcached.
- Basic familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expert-level skills in C# and .NET technologies.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools, preferably GitHub Copilot, and exposure to Vibe coding.
- Commercial experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET (Core, MVC, WebAPI), ORM tools (Entity Framework, Dapper), SQL Server, messaging systems (RabbitMQ, ServiceBus), cloud platforms (Azure), testing frameworks (NUnit, XUnit, MSTest), web servers, and version control systems (Git).
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency or higher.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
