Expert .NET Engineer

Ciklum is seeking an Expert .NET Engineer to join their full-time team based in Pakistan. As a custom product engineering company, Ciklum supports multinational organizations and scaling startups by solving complex business challenges. In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional development team working on a digital transformation project for a leading global provider of audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and related services. The project focuses on evaluating and modernizing technology across the tax lifecycle by analyzing existing assets, assessing functionality, and building new solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop back-end functionality for new features and enhancements.
- Participate in code and architectural reviews while documenting system architecture.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Take a proactive role in solution development and process improvements.
- Contribute to delivering the product roadmap and planning future development.
- Address complex technical challenges and provide rapid, creative solutions during development and support phases.
- Ensure adherence to high coding standards by writing testable, automatable, and performant code throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate and enhance development productivity.

Required Qualifications:
- Over 4 years of commercial software development experience.
- Strong foundation in computer science concepts including OOP, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Solid understanding of database theory covering both relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and design patterns including architectural and enterprise patterns.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP and REST, along with authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB, and key-value stores such as Redis or Memcached.
- Basic familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Advanced expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools, preferably GitHub Copilot, and exposure to Vibe coding.
- Commercial experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core (MVC, WebAPI), ORM tools (Entity Framework, Dapper), SQL Server, messaging systems (RabbitMQ, ServiceBus), cloud platforms (Azure), testing frameworks (NUnit, XUnit, MSTest), web servers, and version control systems (Git).
- Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
