Expert Python Engineer

Ciklum is seeking an Expert Python Engineer to join our dynamic team full-time in Pakistan. As a custom product engineering company, we support multinational organizations and scaling startups in solving complex business challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work on a digital transformation project for a leading global provider of audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, and tax services. The project focuses on evaluating and enhancing technology across the tax lifecycle by decomposing existing assets, assessing functionalities, and building new solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and enforce best practices and coding standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
- Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team while also working independently.
- Communicate clear instructions and manage daily workflow within the team.
- Maintain regular communication with the client to align on project goals and progress.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications using best practices.
- Optimize code for performance and efficient data handling.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure application reliability and performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and workflows.
- Mentor junior developers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in web development using the FastAPI framework.
- Practical experience with Generative AI and large language models (LLMs) for real-world problem solving and developing agentic AI applications.
- Familiarity with multi-agent patterns and frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, Crew AI, and Google ADK.
- Proficient in using Pydantic for data validation and schema definition in Python applications.
- Skilled in asynchronous and parallel programming, particularly with asyncio.
- Experience working with non-relational databases like MongoDB.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to balance standardized processes with flexibility to meet project objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of self-managing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Azure Cloud services, including SaaS offerings such as Service Bus, Data Lake, Blob Storage, and Redis.
- Knowledge of agentic protocols like MCP and A2A is a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience with the LangGraph stack, including long-term memory, human-in-the-loop workflows, and state management.
- Familiarity with .NET development is a plus.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in scalable systems.
