Expert Python Engineer

Ciklum is seeking an Expert Python Engineer to join our full-time team based in Pakistan. As a custom product engineering company, we collaborate with multinational organizations and fast-growing startups to address complex business challenges. In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional team working on a digital transformation project for a leading global provider of audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, and tax services. The project focuses on evaluating and modernizing technology across the tax lifecycle by analyzing existing systems, assessing functionalities, and developing new solutions to replace legacy components.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce best practices and coding standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality, consistent code.
- Work independently and collaboratively within the team to deliver project goals.
- Communicate clear instructions and manage day-to-day operational flow.
- Maintain regular communication with the client to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust Python applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
- Optimize application performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data handling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues to ensure application reliability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and workflows.
- Mentor junior developers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional development experience.
- Strong proficiency in web development with hands-on experience using the FastAPI framework.
- Practical experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve real-world problems and develop agentic AI applications.
- Familiarity with multi-agent patterns and frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, Crew AI, and Google ADK.
- Experience with Pydantic for data validation and schema definition in Python applications.
- Skilled in asynchronous and parallel programming, with solid knowledge of asyncio.
- Proficient in working with non-relational databases, particularly MongoDB.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to balance standardized processes with flexibility to meet project objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with Azure Cloud services, including Service Bus, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Redis, and other SaaS offerings.
- Knowledge of agentic protocols such as MCP and A2A is a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience with the LangGraph stack, including long-term memory, human-in-the-loop workflows, and state management.
- Familiarity with .NET development is a plus.
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in scalable systems.
