Export Operations Manager

The Export Operations Manager will be based full-time on-site in Karachi and will oversee the entire export process. This role involves managing order processing, export documentation, and coordination with freight forwarders, customs agents, and regulatory authorities. The manager will plan shipments, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, and monitor logistics to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate export records, collaborating with production, sales, and finance teams, addressing export-related inquiries, and identifying opportunities to improve processes for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Building and maintaining strong relationships with international clients and partners is also a key aspect of this role, supporting the company’s ongoing global expansion.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end export operations, including order processing and documentation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth shipment clearance.
- Plan and schedule shipments to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, export regulations, and Incoterms.
- Maintain accurate export records such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, sales, and finance teams to streamline export workflows.
- Monitor logistics performance, analyze export data, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Resolve shipment, compliance, or operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize costs and efficiency.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with international clients, vendors, and partners.
- Provide clear communication and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in export operations, preferably within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, customs regulations, and export documentation.
- Proven skills in operational planning, shipment scheduling, order tracking, and workflow optimization.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret export data, manage risks, and resolve compliance issues.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills for effective coordination with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in digital tools such as MS Office, ERP systems, export management software, and email/documentation platforms used in international trade.
