As the company expands, it seeks an experienced Export Operations Manager to join its Karachi-based team and support its global growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Export Operations Manager will oversee the entire export process, ensuring smooth order processing, accurate documentation, and effective coordination with freight forwarders, customs agents, and regulatory bodies. This role involves shipment planning, compliance with international trade and export regulations, and monitoring logistics performance to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations. Daily duties include maintaining precise export records, collaborating closely with production, sales, and finance teams, addressing export-related inquiries, and identifying opportunities to improve processes for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. The manager will also cultivate and maintain strong relationships with international clients and partners to uphold high service standards and support the company’s expanding global presence.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in export and logistics management, including comprehensive knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, customs regulations, and export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. Operational planning and coordination skills are essential, with experience in shipment scheduling, order tracking, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration across production, sales, and finance departments. Analytical and problem-solving abilities are required to interpret export data, monitor key performance indicators, manage risks, and resolve shipment or compliance issues efficiently. Excellent communication and relationship management skills are necessary, including clear written and verbal communication, vendor and client coordination, and the capacity to build long-term partnerships with international stakeholders. Proficiency in digital tools such as MS Office, ERP or export management systems, and trade-related documentation software is also expected. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Relevant professional certifications in logistics or international trade are advantageous. Prior experience in apparel export operations is highly preferred, along with familiarity with major export markets and trade regulations. Candidates should have at least 8 to 10 years of experience in export operations or a related field to be considered for this role.
