Key Responsibilities
You will lead a team within the ACR tax service line, delivering high-quality tax services to clients across various industries in the MENA region. This includes managing service delivery, coordinating issue resolution, and overseeing contract management for large-scale projects. Your role involves ensuring efficient tax compliance, statutory accounts preparation, and tax accounting support. You will coordinate client engagements by liaising with clients and internal teams, managing deadlines, and monitoring engagement economics. Supporting financial digital processes such as year-end closings, audit assistance, financial statements, and tax compliance (corporate and VAT returns) will be part of your daily tasks.
Additionally, you will handle management reporting, budgeting, analytical bookkeeping, financial health assessments, and competitor analysis. You will monitor project progress, implement standardized processes, identify risks, resolve or escalate issues, and drive performance improvements. Leading and motivating high-performing teams is essential, fostering a positive learning culture through coaching and mentoring junior members. You will manage engagement economics and communicate key issues, fees, and estimates to partners and clients while ensuring compliance with Tax Quality guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation, or related fields.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s, and/or professional qualifications like CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a large professional services firm or similar environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and relevant tax rules, procedures, and guidelines.
- Practical experience with regulatory topics including Prudential Reporting, Structural Reform, accounting and compliance innovations, and/or business audit skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
