FAAS - Manager

EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team in Hyderabad is seeking a Manager to join its Assurance FAAS – Control & Compliance group. This role is tailored for professionals with strong expertise in risk management, internal controls, SOX compliance, process reviews, and enterprise risk management. The position offers the chance to work with leading clients, delivering integrated and technology-enabled risk solutions that address complex challenges in internal control assessment, regulatory compliance, and financial controls. The Manager will oversee multiple client engagements, lead diverse teams, and build strong client relationships while contributing to EY’s inclusive culture and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple client engagements by overseeing planning, fieldwork, and reporting to senior stakeholders, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered on time and within budget. Act as a trusted advisor on complex regulatory matters such as UK Corporate Reform, US Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and Global Internal Audit Standards. Ensure compliance with EY’s quality and risk management processes by proactively identifying and managing risks throughout engagements. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, managing expectations and collaborating across EY service lines and subject matter experts. Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional growth through supervision, feedback, and performance reviews. Contribute to business development activities including proposal preparation, thought leadership, and client events to enhance EY’s market presence. Champion EY’s values by fostering an inclusive, respectful, and diverse working environment. Participate in practice development initiatives such as learning programs and solution development.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have 5 to 10 years of managerial and professional experience in risk, process, and controls services within consulting, industry, or the public sector. A professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK), MBA, or an equivalent credential is essential. Proven expertise in internal audit, SOX compliance, process mapping, risk analysis, control design, and Enterprise Risk Management is required. Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams and complex projects involving multiple stakeholders are critical. Excellent communication skills are necessary to present complex information clearly and influence at all organizational levels. Demonstrated ability to deliver client-focused solutions on time and within budget, coupled with strong commercial acumen and client management capabilities, is expected. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with data analytics, automation, AI, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is desirable. The role requires willingness and ability to travel between 50% and 80% as needed.
