Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design fashion collections that align with Meerak’s emphasis on unique cuts, prints, and dye techniques.
- Develop detailed design sketches and select appropriate fabrics and trims for each collection.
- Oversee sample development, collaborating closely with pattern makers and production teams to ensure accurate fittings and garment construction.
- Conduct research on current trends, colors, and materials to inform design decisions.
- Refine designs based on feedback from internal teams and maintain consistency with the brand’s identity across all product lines.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, on-site environment to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in fashion design, including concept development, sketching, and collection planning.
- In-depth knowledge of textiles, including fabric properties, prints, dyes, and surface treatments.
- Proficiency in embroidery techniques and decorative detailing for garments.
- Experience with garment fitting and construction to ensure final products meet both design intent and comfort standards.
- Ability to translate fashion trends into commercially viable designs while maintaining brand consistency.
- Excellent attention to detail, a strong aesthetic sense, and effective visual communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and work on-site in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant educational background in Fashion Design or a related field. A portfolio showcasing previous design work is required.
