Fashion Designer - Leather & Garments

We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to lead the creation of new product launches within our garment and leather collections. This role involves transforming current trends and brand direction into innovative designs, detailed tech packs, and production-ready samples. You will collaborate closely with the Pattern Master and sample makers, guiding each concept from initial idea through to the final approved sample.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough research on fashion trends, competitor launches, and customer feedback to generate fresh product ideas.
- Develop design concepts, sketches, and mood boards for both new collections and individual product launches.
- Prepare comprehensive tech packs that clearly outline measurements, materials, trims, colors, and construction details.
- Select appropriate leather, fabrics, linings, and trims that align with the design vision, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Provide clear briefs to the Pattern Master and sample team, overseeing the sample development process.
- Review samples meticulously for appearance, fit, and finish, offering precise correction notes when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all designs, revisions, and approved samples for reference and quality control.
- Coordinate effectively with creative, product, and sourcing teams to ensure adherence to launch timelines.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in designing woven and leather garments.
- Strong sketching skills, both hand-drawn and digital, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, materials, and fit.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise clearly with production and sampling teams.
