Fashion Designer - Western Wear

We are seeking a talented designer to lead the creation of new launches within our western wear collection, which includes jackets, outerwear, denim, and shirts tailored for the US, UK, and EU markets. In this role, you will be responsible for taking each product from initial concept through to approved sample, collaborating closely with the Pattern Master and sample team to ensure quality and fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough research on current trends, competitor product launches, and customer feedback to generate innovative design ideas.
- Develop sketches, mood boards, and detailed design concepts that align with brand vision and market demands.
- Prepare comprehensive tech packs that include precise measurements, materials, trims, colors, and construction details to guide production.
- Select appropriate fabrics, linings, and trims, balancing quality with cost targets to meet budgetary requirements.
- Collaborate with the Pattern Master by briefing on design intent, reviewing samples for fit and finish, and providing clear correction notes to refine prototypes.
- Maintain organized records of all designs and approved samples, while coordinating timelines to ensure smooth product launches.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience designing western wear, with a strong understanding of the market and consumer preferences.
- Proven skills in jacket or outerwear design are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in both hand sketching and digital design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Solid knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and fit to ensure functional and aesthetically pleasing products.
