Conduct random re-inspections to verify accuracy and ensure inspection equipment is maintained and calibrated.
Fabric Quality Evaluation: Review inspection reports before fabric release to cutting. Make informed recommendations on acceptance, rejection, rework, or holding of fabric. Investigate recurring or major defects and coordinate corrective actions while ensuring traceability of fabric rolls throughout the process.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports, including data on inspected, approved, rejected, and held fabrics. Monitor defect and rejection rates, keep detailed records of fabric quality parameters, and submit timely quality reports and major issue updates to management.
Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with Fabric Store, Cutting, Production, Merchandising, QA/QC, and Dyeing/Finishing teams to address fabric quality concerns. Communicate supplier-related quality issues and follow up on replacements, claims, and corrective measures for defective fabric.
Team Management: Supervise and guide FID Inspectors and staff, providing training on fabric defects, inspection standards, and company procedures. Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and conduct on-the-job training to improve inspection accuracy. Ensure adequate manpower coverage based on workload.
