Revenue Recognition: Work closely with Finance to coordinate monthly revenue recognition activities. Obtain and share signed Completion Certificates, identify costs to be liquidated or charged, and ensure alignment of project-level revenue and costs with month-end financial close.
Invoicing, Collections & Ad-Hoc Support: Collaborate with Project Owners to distribute invoices and follow up with Collections on payment status. Provide timely ad-hoc financial reports and visuals to Project Owners, FP&A Director, or CFO as needed.
Project Controlling & Financial Oversight: Maintain and update Project Controlling files for all active projects, ensuring accuracy of month-end expenses and revenues. Manage project-related financial data including timesheets, consultant expenses, travel & logistics, and third-party purchase orders. Review and approve third-party POs and new sales orders in SAP, integrating them into project financials. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of each project’s financial position and its effect on the business unit.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Own the budget versus actual process for all projects, closely monitoring sensitive projects. Drive forecasting by engaging with Project Owners, analyzing contracts, and challenging assumptions. Analyze budget variances monthly and escalate issues as necessary.
